SAFA Introductory Coaching Course

SAFA’s Coaching Education Department has changed policy regarding the format Introductory Coaching Courses are to be conducted. Courses can now be run over 4 or 8 weekends or over 8 week nights

Courses were previously conducted over 2 phases of 4 days. This format will still be operational but it does not cater for all needs of coaches in South Africa. Part time coaches cannot get time off work to attend courses of this nature.

The new format will allow for the qualification of a greater number of coaches in a shorter period of time.

These courses will be offered within all the local associations of SAFA Tshwane within the near future.

SAFA Tshwane Coaches Association aims to qualify 1000 inroductory level coaches by 2010. Development at grass roots level is the only way for maximum development to take place in any country, that is:
· Coaching by qualified competent coaches
· Introduction of competitive competitions
· Development of ethical capable officials, both administrative and refereeing.

Any queries regarding future courses can be directed to
